KARACHI: A British firm signed joint venture agreement on Tuesday with Ijara Capital Partners Limited to improve the Healthcare System in Pakistan.
An announcement said that Kingsmann Pharma Limited, a company incorporated in the United Kingdom (UK), and Ijara Capital Partners, formed a partnership to improve the healthcare system in Pakistan and ensure a supply of authentic medicines.
The creation of Joint Venture Company Kingsmann Pharmacies Pakistan Ltd. was witnessed by British Deputy High Commissioner and UK Trade Director for Pakistan, Belinda Lewis.
This business model will significantly improve the availability and affordability of genuine medicines, health and beauty products, and healthcare services across Pakistan.
The group's first set of stores are to open in Karachi later this year with further locations opening in other towns, cities and rural areas across Pakistan within the next three years, it was pointed out.
The signing ceremony serves as a significant milestone as this British investment will be able to assist Pakistan to improve their healthcare system and bring it at par with UK standards.
Belinda Lewis said: "This is a really positive venture between British firm Kingsmann Pharma Ltd and Ijara Capital Partners Limited. It will create jobs and improve training within the Healthcare sector in Pakistan.
"It will also provide a source of advice to help achieve better health outcomes. It's an exciting project and I'm keen to see Kingsmann Pharmacies open soon right across the country.
