Pakistan People's Party Secretary General, Jahangir Badr has supported the Resolution passed by the Senate against the recent appointment of Khalid Saeed as Chairman Nepra.
In a press statement issued on Thursday, Badr termed Khalid Saeed's appointment as "gross misuse of position". The resolution was moved in the Senate by the opposition leader, Raza Rabbani, and Anwar Baig and Badr also expressed his serious reservations about this irregular appointment.
He said that the country was passing through a severe electricity crisis and with unreasonable appointment of a bureaucrat lacking electricity background. In any case, the PPP would honour the recommendations/summary of the Selection Committee that interviewed and short-listed candidates for the post of Chairman, Nepra.
