USDA wheat export sales highlights in latest reporting week: Net sales of 210,100 metric tons were 51 percent below the previous week and 9 percent under the prior 4-week average.
Increases reported for Taiwan (80,300 MT), Japan (74,700 MT), Indonesia (58,700 MT, including 58,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 2,100 MT), Egypt (57,000 MT, switched from unknown destinations), Venezuela (50,700 MT), and South Korea (42,200 MT), were partially offset by decreases for unknown destinations (184,100 MT) and Algeria (23,800 MT).
Net sales of 213,100 MT for delivery in 2008/09 were mainly for unknown destinations (68,000 MT), Thailand (54,000 MT), the Philippines (46,200 MT), and Mexico (24,900 MT). Exports of 505,900 MT were 6 percent above the previous week, but 6 percent under the prior 4-week average.
