Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), General Tariq Majid, visited Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF) Wah Cantt on Saturday. Lieutenant General, Syed Sabahat Husain, Chairman POF Board received the CJCSC and introduced him with POF Board Members.
A briefing was given by Chairman POF and other Board Members on the production capabilities, targets, exports, research and development projects,new joint ventures and vision 2020, to cater for the emerging economic and global challenges and to enter into new areas of excellence.
CJCSC was also informed that POF has its own University, Medical College, Engineering College and School for Special Children. POF's management has undertaken many projects for the welfare of employees. General Tariq Majid remarked that POF are the premier indigenous defence production organisations of Pakistan Armed Forces.
