Pakistan People's Party Senior Vice Chairman, Makhdoom Amin Fahim on Monday night said that he is ready to support PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari as next prime minister of Pakistan, Aaj TV reported.
He was talking to media after one on one meeting with PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari. Fahim said that the PPP co-chairman would consider the proposal and let him know about his decision on Tuesday early morning. He said that he would decide about himself after the decision of Asif Ali Zardari.
Fahim said that he fully supports the party decision regarding nomination of speaker and deputy speaker in National Assembly, TV channel added.
APP ADDS: Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians President Makhdoom Amin Fahim has dismissed the rumours of making any forward bloc in Sindh Assembly and said the party would remain united as there is no rift between the leadership.
"I am not forming any forward bloc, all such reports are baseless," he told mediapersons outside Parliament on Monday. He further clarified that neither he nor his like minded persons were active to form a coalition government with Mutahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) or other party after creating forward bloc.
"I don't indulge in 'if or else' assumptions and want to categorically say that PPP is united and we would keep it united," he said in reply to a question regarding future of the party. He said PPPP would unveil its premiership candidate within a couple of days.
