President Pervez Musharraf will pay a state visit to China starting from next week, the foreign office spokeswoman announced here on Thursday. The Chinese President Hu Jintao has invited President Musharraf to visit China.
President Pervez Musharraf will pay a state visit to China from April 10 to 15, said Jiang Yu at the bi-weekly media briefing held at Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
She pointed out that President Musharraf will also attend the 2008 annual meeting of the Boao Forum for Asia. During his visit to China, she said, President Hu Jintao will hold talks with his Pakistani counterpart.
Jiang further said that Chairman Wu Bangguo, Premier Wen Jiabao and other top Chinese leaders will also meet Pakistani President. During his stay here, the two sides will sign a series of documents, she noted. The co-operative and strategic partnership between our two countries has got significant development during the recent years, she said.
"We have all weather partnership and we have co-operation in various fields, she said adding with high level exchange of visits the co-operation in various fields has generated a good result." The spokesperson further said that last year the bilateral trade had touched 6.5 billion dollar.
