More than 30 million people of southern Punjab are deprived of education, filter water, employment, transport, and health facilities. A large number of people is compelled to drink sour water. These facts came out in a survey conducted in 9 districts of southern Punjab.
Only 3 main hospitals are working in 9 districts in which there is severe shortage of doctors and medicines. Higher educational institutions are very few in number whereas the big development projects are also pending.
Revolutionary steps are needed for the development and to improve the life style of this region. Industries should be established on vast scale to reduce the unemployment. Farmers should be provided interest free loans for the betterment of agriculture.
Provision of justice is also a big problem of this region. People should be provided justice at their door step. Law and order situation should be improved. Cultural wings should be made for more cultural festivals. Transport facilities should also be improved. People are facing lot of problems for transportation. Women University should be made in Multan. Faisalabad motorway project should be extended to Multan to make it a mega city.
