United States Anti-terrorist Assistance Programme Manager Robert Clark on Tuesday met Punjab Police Inspector General Dr Syed Azhar Hassan Nadeem and discussed various matters regarding training of the police officials to cope with the incidents of terrorism and suicide attacks.
He assured the IG that American government would extend all possible co-operation to the Punjab police in this regard. He informed that the US experts have imparted training to the police officer in police training college Sihala regarding anti-terrorism.
He said US experts in collaboration with the Punjab police were going to organise a number of refresher course to impart training to police personnel for combating against the incidents of terrorism and suicide attacks in all the police training schools. IG hoped that it would go a long way in enhancing the professional capacity of the police officials to effectively deal with saboteurs.
