The 25th Corporate Excellence Award distribution ceremony of Management Association of Pakistan (MAP) will be held on May 14 at Karachi Sheraton Hotel here. Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Federal Minister for Finance, Revenue, Economic Affairs and Statistics will be the chief guest.
Asif Qadir, President MAP, will announce the names of the award winners on the occasion. The Award is confined to the listed companies. For award purpose, these companies have been divided in to two main categories i.e. Business and Industrial Category as well as Financial Category.
There have been devised different criteria to identify the winners of each category in view of their nature of business. A total number of 104 companies were nominated for the 25th award on the basis of maintenance of dividend pay-out @ 10 percent each year or aggregate 30 percent during the years 2004, 2005 and 2006.
These companies were subjected to financial evaluation with the help of their published accounts. As the result of financial evaluation, 36 companies out of the total were short-listed for management appraisal. The winners of the awards and certificates will be identified according to their total performance. The 25th Corporate Excellence Award has been sponsored by Engro Chemical Pakistan Limited.-PR
