The Vice Chancellor, Sindh Agriculture University Tandojam, Dr Bashir Ahmad Shaikh has said that agriculture sector is one of the major contributors to the country's improving economy. The Vice Chancellor was speaking at the inaugural ceremony of a three-day workshop, organised for tomato farmers at the Institute of Food Sciences and Technology.
He said that we have to introduce new technology in order to preserve fruits and vegetables for a longer period so that their increasing prices could be controlled in the off season. Muhammad Ismaeel Khar and SOFCO's Abdul Malik Somroo also addressed the workshop.
