Samsung Electronics, the official Presenting Partner for Beijing 2008 Olympic Torch relay hosted an acknowledgement ceremony for their Islamabad torchbearers string (Faisal and Bilal) Vaneeza Ahmed, Shahzad Roy, Najama Vohra and Flying Horse Samiullah Khan.
The selections were based on their notable contributions to society and the ability to overcome adversity to achieve personal and professional success.
This impressive ceremony was attended by Governor Punjab Lieutenant Colonel Khalid Maqbool (Retd), Roh, Country Manager, Samsung Pakistan and Chaudhry Yaqoob, Vice President, Pakistan Olympic Association.
The ceremony was presided over by Lieutenant Colonel Khalid Maqbool, Governor Punjab. He handed over the symbolic torches to the torchbearers who will carry Torch in Islamabad on April 16, 2008.
Roh, Country Manager, Samsung Electronics quoted at the ceremony "I believe that any Olympic experience is a dream-come-true," said Roh.
