Dr Noor Mohammad Shah has been elected as the president of the Pakistan Pharmacists Association (PPA), NWFP. The PPA elections for the year 2008-10 were held in Peshawar and Malakand University simultaneously. A large number of registered pharmacy graduates enthusiastically participated in the polls.
According to a PPA election committee notification, Dr Noor Mohammad Shah secured 145 votes. His opponent, Israf Gul obtained 10 votes while Bakhte Karam got only one vote.
The notification also said that Niaz Ali Khan and Nida Bashir had been elected as Dr Noor Mohammad Shah elected as PPA president Vice presidents, male and female respectively. Similarly, Sajjad Ali Khan and Mohammad Rafiq were elected the General Secretary and Joint Secretary respectively. Moreover, the PPA selected Nizammuddin as Press secretary and Hafiz Abdurrhim as Finance Secretary.-PR
