ARL's after tax profit up Rs 160.021 million

After tax profit of Attock Refinery Limited (ARL) has increased to Rs 160.021 million in the three-month period ended on March 31, as compared to Rs 142.110 million earned in the corresponding period in 2007.
The board of directors of the company, in its meeting held on Tuesday, declared that earning per share of the company surged to Rs 2.25 in the period under review against rupees two in the same period a year back.
According to the financial results, the company's net sales increased to Rs 23.637 billion in this period as against Rs 13.484 billion in the same period last year. On the other hand, the cost of sales increased to Rs 23.855 billion in the quarter against Rs 13.396 billion in the same quarter last year.
