Lahore Development Authority Director General Irfan Ali has ordered the relevant departments to remove all encroachments from Township and Green Town, which is a part of the Quiad-e-Azam Town. A spokesman said that an operation against encroachments would start soon. He also expects a foolproof system to be devised for transfer of plots in LDA schemes.
His orders came when he visited Township and Johar Town and the new LDA office building there. He said local offices of WASA should also be shifted in the new building. "This would facilitate the people to get their complaints addressed under one roof," he added. He told his officers to complete all the LDA development projects, including widening of the College Road in the stipulated time and there should be no compromise on quality.
