General Body meeting of Punjab University Employees Housing Society (PUEHS) was held here at Environmental Law Centre, new campus on Tuesday. Society's new president, Professor Dr Saeed Ahmad Nagra presided over the meeting. Former President Professor Dr Muhammad Arif Butt, Chairman Professor Sajid and Director Colonel Sarfraz-ul-Haq (Retd) also attended the meeting.
In his presidential address Professor Nagra lauded the services of former president Professor Dr Muhammad Arif Butt and on the stress of stakeholders ordered to prepare large number of maps of the society.
Dr Arif Butt congratulated all members of the society for their services. He said that income that will be generated from commercial areas of the society would be spent on the welfare of university employees' children. He said that the scheme was launched in 2002 and they confronted many problems during the period.
Society's Chairman Professor Sajid said that there was none other society in Lahore, which had started development work as quickly as compared to PUEHS. He said that the development work of Town-I would be completed within nine months and of Town-II within 15 months. Society's Director Colonel Sarfraz-ul-Haq (Retd) presented the details of development works initiated in the society.
