359,000 kids to be given anti-polio drops

As many as 359,000 children of five years of age and below will be given anti-polio drops during the ongoing (May 6-8) drive against this disease. Medical Superintendent Tehsil headquarters hospital Dr Najibur Rahman Thaheem said mobile teams had been deputed to make the door-to-door campaign a great success.
Dr Muhammad Asadullah Baloch said that 923 health mobile teams would administer anti-polio vaccine to all children to immunise them against the onslaught of polio. He said that no polio case had been detected in the district. He said the disease had been banished from the district as the parents had become well aware of the advantage of the vaccination.
