The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has regained a LDA school building from a land grabbing mafia, which was used for other activities. LDA spokesman said on Friday that staff of the Estate Management Directorate carried out the action on the instruction of LDA DG Irfan Ali.
The school was located at the Walton Road, which was rented out for Rs 500 per month in 1983 to a management of private school. The LDA received rent till 1996 and after that no rent was received. The school building remained with them and used for other activities other than education.
