Partly Facetious: why not use colours to tell politicians' seniority?

"A while ago you expressed some amazement at Mian Sahib's suited appearance."
Published May 16, 2008

"A while ago you expressed some amazement at Mian Sahib's suited appearance."
"Well yes, the years in exile have certainly made him more amenable to wearing a suit, which, let's be honest, is a whole lot tighter than a shalwar kameez."
"Yes a bit restrictive after lunch I would say."
"Right and breakfast and dinner..."
"Don't forget high tea."
"But you know last time he wore a suit he was in the UK but I saw him wearing a suit in Pakistan too. I must add though that he has not yet mastered the art of wearing a suit."
"It is not art and you certainly don't need to master it, you just need to wear one that fits your size."
"True but I was referring to a suit accessory, the tie."
"What about the tie?"
"The tie was kinda loose, very loose if you know what I mean."
"That was symbolic I would imagine."
"Whatever do you mean?"
"As Zardari tightened the noose on the judges issue thereby compromising Mian Sahib's capacity to wear ties."
"You are being facetious today. And besides don't forget as they say clothes don't make a man."
"Yes it does. You know even British judges have decided to abandon the 300-year-old tradition of wearing horsehair wigs."
"Wigs is old fashioned. They should take advice from the PML (N) high command. Not horsehair wigs but hair implantation."
"Don't be absurd. The judges don't wear wigs because they are bald. It's just a tradition."
"About time it was changed then given the evolution of hair technology, shall we say."
"You are in a feisty mood today. So what are the judges going to wear?"
"It's a new robe designed by a funky designer."
"But no one knows yet how funky her design really is?"
"Well, they will wear simple black gowns fastened with snaps and decorated with gold red or lilac depending on their seniority."
"How hierarchical in! Colours to tell how senior the judge is...Maybe we should use colours amongst our politicians. I am getting totally confused with who is senior than who."
"Whatever do you mean?"
"Well, I used to think Gilani is more senior to his Advisor but..."
"You are being facetious today."
