Unknown persons targeted Wapda personnel during the maintenance process of an electricity tower damaged by a bomb blast in the Shaikh Muhammadi locality here on Monday. The repair work on the 500 KW electricity tower has been stopped when unidentified persons opened firing on four Wapda personnel, Pesco official said, private TV channel reported.
Pesco officials have been asked for the provision of security for Wapda workers in order to keep the repair process rolling. The power supply to the area would be restored soon by re-commencing the repair process, PESCO official said.
