Punjab Olympic Association (POA) has evolved a comprehensive strategy to promote various games and in this regard it has decided to hold inter school sports tournaments from October 17 to 19. The events of athletics, badminton, basketball, netball, baseball, softball, swimming, football and table tennis both for boys and girls will be organised during these tournaments.
President POA Syed Shahid Ali Shah said this after a general council meeting of the body here on Wednesday that the association has planned to explore the talent of college students. The POA is also holding inter collegiate sports tournaments from October 24 to 26, he added. Sources told Business Recorder that the POA has taken this initiative after halting of sports activities in the educational institutions.
