Excavation of reti, bajri banned in CDGK limits

City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal under section 144 CrPC has prohibited the excavation of Reti, Bajri, earth and stone within the limits of City District Government Karachi. The order will come into force with immediate effect and remain in force for a period of seven days.
The Nazim took the action after taking notice that some groups are engaged/involved in illegal and unauthorised excavation of Reti, Bajri, earth and stone within the jurisdiction of CDGK causing colossal loss to the government exchequer. These groups have also threatened the functionaries of the CDGK by creating hurdles through interfering the anti-excavating initiatives/actions.
