The whole nation is fed up with the sharp increase in the prices of essential items. It is an open secret. But the other major negative development is lesser purchasing power of the people. Fruit and vegetable sellers noted it since the rates of the essential items started shooting up.
The number of buyers is reducing, they just come and ask about the prices and 'about turn' with long faces. The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) at last has taken bold steps to lessen the burden of nation. Now it's time the government must come forward with relief packages for the poor. They are already in a wait-and-see position ahead of the poor-friendly budget for (2008-09).
