The Islamabad Stock Exchange (ISE) celebrated extension in capital gains tax (CGT) exemption on capital market where leading brokerage houses and market players injected fresh investment in hot favourite stocks amid increase in index.
ISE-10 Index showed an increase of 140.65 points, as it moved 2,868.45 to 3,009.10 points. The volume of trade amounted to 1,364,468 shares as compared to previous turnover of 1,459,338 shares.
The horizon of trade expanded from 149 stocks to 166 companies. Majority of stocks (166) closed in positive territory, 152 closed in negative territory. The volume of NIB Bank was 393,000 shares. The volume of OGDCL was 157,500 shares. The turnover of Pakistan Cement was 128,150 shares.
