Senator Sanaullah Baloch of Balochistan National Party (BNP-Mangal), who arrived here in the country after ending his self exile the other day, is likely to resign from the upper house today (Friday).
Sources told Business Recorder that the likely decision of the senator is in line with the party decision to quit the parliament as protest against Akbar Bugti killing in alleged military operation last year.
The party MNA, Rauf Mangal, had resigned immediately after Bugti's killing, but Sanaullah Baloch could not resign from the Senate as he was in London in self-exile. The BNP senator, who always raised his voice for the rights of Balochistan and against the military operation there, fled the country after he received life threats allegedly from the law enforcement agencies.
