A walk was held here on Thursday in connection with the World Environment Day to create public awareness against environmental pollution. The walk started from Railway Chowk and concluded at Town Hall, was which participated, by people from various walks of life, including school children.
Participants carried placards and banners bearing slogans for a clean environment. The walk was led by Abdul Khaliq Shakir, the first WHO award winning Asian for his efforts to promote a tobacco-free world.
