Under the orders of District & Session, Judge, Vehari, Tahir Pervez Butt, a bailiff recovered two real brothers of the bridegroom from Thingi police station where they were being tortured. The court summoned the SHO concerned with record besides medical examination of the victims.
This action was taken on the petition of Kaku Mai, wife of Dur Muhammad. She submitted that her son Altaf Hussain had married Shagufta Bibi. This had infuriated her real brothers Muhammad Boota and Mhammad Shahid who planned to take revenge. Then they called a session of local jury (punchayat) and summoned her sons Ilyas and Abbas at the dera of Lumberdar Tahir Mehmood, where they were tied to a tree and then tortured brutally.
When the wife of one of them tried to save them they also gave her severe beating. Later they took the two brothers to some secret place where they against subjected them to torture.
Next day they gave them in the custody of Thingi police. The bailiff recovered them from a room of the police station. The victims informed the court that ASI Muhammad Arif had also tortured them and forced them to take urine whenever they asked for water. The bailiff informed the court that there was no entry of their arrest and no case was registered against them in the police station.
