Punjab Minister for Food Malik Nadeem Karman has said that Punjab Government has given approval to establish Al-Farid Medical college in the city. Talking to newsmen here, he said that Mian Shahbaz Sharif, after taking oath as the Chief Minister Punjab, would be invited to lay the foundation of the medical college on June 12.
The minister said that funds, amounting to rupees four billion to be spent on the 136 Kanal project, had already been acquired for the college. An overhead bridge would also be built near Qutab Shahana in the next phase, at a cost of one billion rupees, he added. Responding to a query, he said that the government would import 2,500,000 tons wheat.
