Advisor to Chief Minister (ACE) for Inquiries and Anti-Corruption Establishment, Gul Mohammed Laat has ordered an inquiry against allotment of land in Karachi and all over the province during the last 5 years in violation of laid down rules and regulations.
He was chairing a review meeting held in the office of Chairman Anti-Corruption here on Tuesday. The meeting was attended by Chairman Anti-Corruption, Ahmed Faheem Mughal, all the Directors and heads of six zones. It was decided to set up a complaint cell in the Anti-Corruption Department where special staff will be deputed.
People could send their complaints to this cell by fax, telephone, e-mail and in writing which would be sent directly to the Advisor. Advisor Gul Mohammed Laat said that immediate action will be taken on complaints received against corruption.
He took notice of cases of corruption lying pending for as long as 20 years. He said it is quite unjust and such cases should be disposed of on preferential basis. He said all such cases be disposed of within 3 months after meeting the ends of justice.
The meeting took detail review of the fire which gutted the record of Board of Revenue Sindh sometime back and it was decided that Anti-Corruption Department will carry out inquiry into the fire incident. It was informed that as per reports of various agencies, the fire was caused inadvertently.
