NWFP Governor Owais Ahmed Ghani and Chief Minister Amir Haider Khan Hoti have strongly condemned the unprovoked attack by the coalition forces on the border security posts in Pakistan's territory of Mohmand Agency, describing it as 'a naked aggression' against Pakistan.
In a joint statement issued here on Wednesday, both the governor and the chief minister have expressed deep grief and sorrow over the martyrdom of 13 people, including a Major, 10 FC Jawans and two civilians, extending heart-felt sympathies to the bereaved families. They have also expressed their concern that more are missing and injured in the said attack.
Annoyed over the unprovoked attack by the coalition forces, the governor and the chief minister said that the coalition forces not only crossed into the Pakistan's territory to attack the boarder posts, but also violated the Pakistan's Air space, adding that such aggression will never be tolerated.
"Such like unprovoked acts must be avoided, which may cause tension in mutual relation", they cautioned. "Such provoking attacks may also damage the war on terror, for which the coalition forces and Afghan government will be solely responsible", they added.
