Senate on Monday criticised the PTV administration for not including the house debate on budget in the main bulletin 'Khabarnama'. Senate Chairman Mohammadmian Soomro directed the PTV and information ministry to take immediate steps to ensure proper coverage of the house proceedings in the bulletins of state-run TV.
Leader of the House, Mian Raza Rabbani raised the issue and said that PTV was not giving time to cover senate proceedings. The PTV in its Sunday night Khabarnama did not mention that senate was in the session, he said. "This is a sheer disregard to the house, which is essence of the federation," said Rabbani. He asked the chair to issue strictures to PTV administration as the opposition and treasury senators deplored the attitude of the PTV administration.
