Korangi Town Nazim, Muhammad Arif Khan inspected the ongoing cleaning of the drains/nullahs along with other officials in the town here, on Sunday. During the inspection, he directed the staff concerned to shift the refuse removed from drains to landfill sites through dumpers, said a statement issued here.
He said that the Town Municipal Administration has chalked out a comprehensive strategy to handle the situation in case on expected monsoon rainfalls. M. Arif Khan also said that after the cleaning of the drains/nullahs the anti-bacteria spray should also be done. Korangi Nazim, also declared the emergency in the town due to likely monsoon rain.
