The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has finalised arrangements for launching an operation against shanties in Sabzazar Housing Scheme, which will start from Friday (tomorrow). According to a LDA's spokesman here on Wednesday, it has already completed its drive against squatters, huts and other illegal buildings that had been situated in F-1 and F-2 blocks of Johar Town.
Meanwhile, during its ongoing campaign against violators of building bye-laws, the staff of the Town Planning Wing, of LDA, demolished six structures in Allama Iqbal Town. The LDA staff also demolished encroachments on plot number 122 at Sikandar block as well as flat number 4, 9 and 11 situated in Huma block besides removing illegal structures that had been set up in front of flat number 71 situated in the same block.
