JUI-F Amir Fazlur Rehman has said that the entire nation is concerned over the situation in Fata and it has further worsened with the arrival of Americans in Afghanistan after 9/11.
Talking to a private TV channel, he said that Pakistan has been declared Islamic state in the country's constitution but all institutions, including establishment and feudal lords, have been blocking the enforcement of Islamic system.
He said that international community and the establishment do not accept religious parties in power and situation was deteriorated to oust religious forces from power. He said that emotional elements strongly reacted to the incidents of operation on Jamia Hafsa and returning of Hasba bill by the Supreme Court on behalf of General Pervez Musharraf, twice. Therefore, a thinking emerged among these elements that parliament is a hindrance in their way, he added.
He said that Nato was formed against USSR, but after split of USSR it has been deployed against the Muslim Ummah. He said that America is responsible for the situation. He said international forces are trying to carve out new geographical division on the world map according to the interests of the America. Then they are also trying to get justification for Nato intervention in Fata by worsening conditions in tribal areas, he said.
Fazl said that Muhaideen would fight against Pak Army terming it a Nato ally. This situation, he said, would be very dangerous. "I think that big powers will have to change their policies of using force against extremists and militants", he observed. He said that withdrawal of troops was the first condition "that we presented to the coalition partners while joining the government".
He said, "The Prime Minister is giving free hand to Army Chief for operation in Fata; so we will also have to review our priorities. We will not support any decision of the government that will be conflicting with our priorities."
