The District Co-ordination Officer (DCO), Muhammad Khurram Agha on Saturday kicked off an anti-pollution campaign all over the district. Chairing a meeting of various departments, he said that after mechanisation clean environment has become a big challenge for the whole mankind.
He said the anti-pollution drive would be executed in piecemeal, like in each tehsil of the three one by one. Burewala tehsil has been chosen to be the first one for this cleanliness campaign. The DCO also said the tehsil municipal authority, Burewala has been provided with the requisite machinery to achieve maximum of the objective.
Further, he said after Burewala the drive will be launched in tehsil Mailsi and Vehari. The aim of the campaign is to make the entire district clean. Agha also said many of diseases spread due to filth and lack of cleanliness that should be prevented so as to save our people from being sick.
