Federal Minister for Northern Areas and Kashmir Qamar-uz-Zaman Kaira has said that there is complete understanding and harmony among coalition partners regarding impeachment of President. Talking to APP after attending a seminar here on Saturday, he said.
"When we have required strength, we would not sit idle and go for impeachment." To a question about Kashmir issue, he hoped that this core issue between India and Pakistan would be settled as per aspirations of Kashmiri people. Regarding possibility of military operation in Northern Areas, he said, "Though it would be difficult decision, yet whenever civil administration requested army would be provided for re-launching operation as security of the country was supreme."
About lawyers movement for reinstatement of judges, he said everybody has the right of peaceful protest adding "If lawyers opted for holding long march again, government would adopt the same approach as it did during the first long march and would not put any hurdles."
To another question about energy crisis in the country, he said it was result of wrong policies of the previous government, which did not increase production of electricity despite increase in consumption. He said present government is taking various steps for increasing power production to overcome shortage, which presently stands at 4600mega watt. He claimed that loadshedding would be reduced considerably by august next while it will be overcome by the end of next year.
