Four-day fifth freedom rally 2008 and azadi mela will be held in Gwader, which will start from August 11 and continue till 14. Addressing a joint press conference on Saturday at a local hotel.
Director General Pakistan Coast Guards, Brigadier Javed Iqbal, CEO visionary group, Ahmed Baloch, Director freedom rally, Owais Iqbal Baloch, MNA, Mir Nadir Maqsi and MPA Amir Maqsi, said that the rally is aimed to promote motor sports.
Dr Muhammad Ali Shah, minister for sports had left the press conference earlier to attend the Asia cup cricket semi-final match at national stadium. They said that rally has been organised for the last five years in the country. They said that Pakistan Coast Guards would equally support the rally, as it has been doing since its inception.
The rally will also help expose the beauty of Pakistan around the world, besides promoting the local culture of the province and of the country as a whole, they said, adding that youth should also be encouraged to take part in such events. They vowed to continue their efforts for the promotion of motor sports across the country. They said that their efforts would continue to increase the motor sports events, as Cholistan and Jal Magsi rallies are one of the events.
