Mushtaq Ahmed, a resident of the village of Veghore was allegedly tortured to death by police in the Police Post of Lundianwala. Villagers of Veghore protested in Jaranwala and blocked the Buchiana road by putting Ahmed's body in the middle of the road and demanding the immediate arrest of any police officials involved in this incident.
Ahmed was arrested a few days ago by Sub. Inspector, Mian Zulfiqar and ASI Allah Ditta from the village fields while ploughing and brought to police station on charges of theft.
