The Karachi Port handled 197,636 tonnes of cargo including 116,472 tonnes of import, 81,164 tonnes of export cargo and 4,479 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 48 hours ended at 0700 hours on Monday.
The cargoes comprised of 157,061 tonnes of dry cargo including 89,014 tonnes of general cargo; 33,635 tonnes of coal; 7,839 tonnes of rock phosphate; 14,977 tonnes of cement; 11,596 tonnes of clinker and 40,575 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
Sixteen ships namely Hanjin Chittagong, Bulk Arrow, Industrial Diamond, Lalazar, Beluga Fusion, Sinar Agra, Rosy Falcon, Ltc Calvin P. Titus, Apl Alexandrite, Oel Trust, St. Irene, Jakarta Express, Itha Bhum, Creek, Selendang Permata and Teen sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Eighteen vessels viz Asean Explorer, Red Sea Spirit, Soraya, Jakarta Express, Creek, Apl Alexandrite, Ltc Calvin P. Titus, St. Irene, Beluga Fusion, Chemroad Fuji, Ioannis K, Napa, Itha Bhum, Oel Trust, Super Star-III, King Brian, Sidratul Muntaha and Global Progress are currently at the berths.
Four ships namely Napa, King Brian, Chemroad Fuji and Global Progress expected to sail on Monday.
Eight vessels viz Bengal Orchid, Bruce Park, Aquamarine-I, Harmony, Buxlagoon, Atlantica, CEC Concord and Laftah due to arrive on Monday while another eight ships namely Sima Sahba, Far Singapore, Apl Cairo, Apl Pusan, Manora Naree, Fu Ning HaiLucky Arrow and BBC Spain are due to arrive on Tuesday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 99,353 tonnes including 91,661 tonnes of import, 7,692 tonnes of export cargo and 1,464 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Monday.
The cargo comprised of 45,791 tonnes of furnace oil; 6,564 tonnes of palm oil; 2,494 tonnes of rock phosphate; 7,903 tonnes of chemicals; 14,856 tonnes of coal; 1,708 tonnes of iron ore and 20,037 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Three container vessels viz MSC Rose-M, Himalaya and Sima Pars sailed out to sea during last 24 hours while three more ships namely MT Sinar Agra, MT Bunga Melati Dua and MT Sea Lion are expected to sail on Monday.
A total of four ships namely Tani Jin, Golden Express, Santa Fe and Leo Princess carrying project cargo, chemicals and cement respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
Ten vessels viz CV MSC Rosa-M, CV Sima Pars, CV Himalaya, MV Sirios, MV Navision Bulker, MV Madonna-III, MT Bunga Melati Doa, MT Sea Lion, MT Sinar Agra and MV Kaghan are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, rock Phosphate, coal, steel billet, chemicals, palm oil, furnace oil and iron ore respectively during the report period.
Two ships namely CV Maersk Carolina and MT Golden Express are expected to take berths at Qasim International Container Terminal and Multi Purpose Terminal respectively on Monday.
Five vessels viz CV Maersk Den Spar, MV QSM Dubai, MT Al-Salam-II, MT Olympic Serenity and MT Asia Trade to load/offload containers cement, diesel oil, furnace oil and palm oil are due to arrive on Monday while another two ships namely MV Leonis and MV Monique to load cement and rice are due to arrive on Tuesday.
