He said that the city traffic officers and more than 3,400 traffic wardens should evolve a comprehensive strategy to meet the present challenges and perform their duties with dedication and commitment to meet the expectations of the people.
He directed the Traffic Wardens to ensure smooth flow of traffic on all roads and continue patrolling in their respective sectors, besides launching an awareness campaign for the masses pertaining to traffic rules.
He also directed the Traffic Wardens to guide people at traffic signals regarding observance of traffic rules and lane. Rathore directed the officers to take effective measures for the prevention of accidents caused by the slow moving traffic in the suburbs of the city and ensure fixation of reflectors as well as its movement at extreme left side of the roads.
He said that to facilitate the Laborites, a number of steps had been taken for the provision of learner and permanent driving license and an other booth for the issuance of licenses would soon be set up in Saddar Division area.
He warned the traffic officials to remain courteous and polite to the people, otherwise they would be taken to task.
