As many as 11 persons were killed and 17 sustained injuries in a collision between a bus and a wagon near Motra on the GT road on Thursday. According to police, the Gujranwala bound bus (LWN-5876) coming from Sialkot rammed into the wagon (GAK-9786) coming from the opposite side near Motra.
Nine persons died on the spot while two others breathed their last at the hospital. Some of the injured were rushed to Civil Hospital Daska and others to DHQ hospital Sialkot for treatment. Those killed in the mishap have been identified as Muhammad Amir resident of village Gojra, Daska, Adnan of Ghartal, Daska, Iftikhar son of Abdul Razaq, Daska, Bilal Ahmed of Awami Road Daska, Allah Rakha of village Jagnah, Gujranwala and Ashfaq Smoil of Habibpura, Daska, while identity of three persons have not ascertained yet. The injured persons included Munawar Shah, Inayat Ali, Muhammad Arif, Fehmida Bibi, Tanveer, Nazir, Mohsin, Muhammad Naeem, Shahbaz, Imran and others.
