The Executive Committee of the Karachi Union of Journalists (KUJ) has decided to initiate best performance awards. An announcement to this effect was made by General Secretary of the organisation Khursheed Abbasi on Thursday.
He said the awards would be given to best reporter in English, Urdu and Sindhi, best photographer, best columnist, best cartoonist and best reporter (electronic media) on the basis of performance during the year 2007.
Those desirous of competing have been asked to submit their entries latest by July 31. It was further stated that a panel of judges would decide about the winners. These awards would be conferred at the annual dinner of the KUJ.
