The Karachi Port handled 137,500 tonnes of cargo including 111,160 tonnes of import, 26,340 tonnes of export cargo and 3,794 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Saturday.
The cargoes comprised of 91,048 tonnes of dry cargo including 54,103 tonnes of general cargo; 7,477 tonnes of fertilizer; 28,000 tonnes of coal; 480 tonnes of rock phosphate; 9,284 tonnes of cement; 000 tonnes of clinker; 36,945 tonnes of bulk cargo and 46,452 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
Seven ships namely Aquamarine, Fu Ning Hai, Orient Stride, Kota Puri, Oel Transworld, Hyundai Admiral and Soraya sailed out to sea during the reported period. Seven vessels viz Orient Stride, Hanjin Qingdao, Sp 5-Eric G Gibson, Grigorpan, Smarty, Laftah and Quetta are currently at the berths.
Five ships namely Sp 5-Eric G Gibson, A Quetta, Siam Pearl, Hanjin Qingdao and Atlantica expected to sail on Saturday while another three vessels viz Fatima I, Bavaria Express and Manora Naree are expected to sail on Sunday.
Four vessels viz Omega King, Asdrubai, Bavaria Express and Grand Champion due to arrive on Saturday while another nine ships namely Cerigo, Lalazar, Gulf Tiger, Al-Soor-II, Mitra Bhum, Soon Fu, Sanie, Nordina-G and Asia Forest are due to arrive on Sunday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 66,693 tonnes including 58,850 tonnes of import 7,843 tonnes of export cargo and 271 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Saturday.
The cargoes comprised of 28,988 tonnes of diesel oil; 5,960 tonnes of palm oil; 000 tonnes of rock phosphate; 11,500 tonnes of wheat; 11,189 tonnes of chemicals; 000 tonnes of coal; 000 tonnes of steel billet; iron ore; 4,591 tonnes of cement, 1,213 tonnes project cargo and 3,252 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Three vessels viz CV CMA CGM Puget, CV CMA CGM Nilgai and MT Al-Salam-II sailed out to sea during last 24 hours while another two ships namely MT Cypress Galaxy and MT World Dynasty are expected to sail on Saturday.
A total of six ships namely Maersk Novazzano, Golden Accord, Abboud G, Navision Bulker, Santa Fe and Monique carrying containers, palm oil, cement and rice respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
Nine vessels viz CV CMA CGM Puget, CV CMA CGM Nilgai, MV Leo Princess, MV Ocean Trader, MV Tian Jin, MT Cypress Galaxy, MT World Dynasty, MT Al-Salam-II and MT Long Fin are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, wheat, project cargo, chemicals, palm oil and diesel oil respectively during the report period. last 24 hours.
Two ships namely CV Maersk Novazzano and MT Golden Accord carrying containers and palm oil are expected to take berths at Qasim International Container Terminal and Multi Purpose Terminal respectively on Saturday.
Three ships namely MT Qem Star, MV Leonis and MV QSM Dubai due to arrive on Saturday while another four ships namely MT Merbabu, MT Al-Soor-II, CV MSC Alpana and CV Sima Paya are due to arrive on Sunday. Three ships namely MSC Alpana, Sima Paya and Qem Star carrying containers and chemicals are also due to arrive.
