Arabica coffee and US cocoa futures moved higher in early trade Friday, as the dollar dropped and provided renewed buying interest. ICE Futures US September arabica contract was up 0.50 cent at $1.357 per lb by 9:12 am EDT (1312 GMT), spanning $1.3435 to $1.372. One contract aside, the rest up 0.35 to 0.70 cent.
ICE benchmark September cocoa contract was up $20 at $2,764 a tonne by 9:13 am, dealing from $2,753 to $2,782. The rest was up from $17 to $19.
