Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif here on Sunday meeting legislators and workers of NA-119 said that designs of those who want to impede democracy and enforce dictatorship would be thwarted. He said that coalition government was committed to consolidate democracy and would do its needful in this regard.
Speaking about billions of rupees fund spent in the previous tenure of government Sharif said that these funds being spent on personal projection gave nothing to the masses. The CM averred that now these funds would be utilised to uplift standard of education, health and other basic necessities in the Province.
The Punjab Chief Minister said that provision of justice was their top priority and in this regard if they had to sacrifice their government, they would not hesitate.
The CM averred he wished a strong alliance between the coalition partners so that democracy could provide respite to masses and strengthen democratic norms and bring the nation out of quagmire. A large number of people present on the occasion presented their complaints to the CM to redress their grievances. The people present also complained about sordid attitude of civil administration and police in providing relief on their complaints.
