Tahir Shamshad has been appointed Member Engineering of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) with effect from August 8, 2008. He replaced Moinud Deen KakaKhail who was on deputation from Pakistan Public Works Department (PPWD) and reported back to the Housing Ministry.
Prior to his appointment as Member Engineer he was General Manager of the Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Authority (ERRA). Tahir Shamshad held various senior engineering positions and executed many mega projects. He is an eminent engineer with high professional skills.
The new member engineering has also served in Germany, Qatar, Oman and Thailand. Kamran Lashari, Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) has welcomed his posting in CDA and said that the abilities of Tahir Shamshad would help in education of the mega projects.
