In Rodkohi, a suburb of district Rajanpur, the flood level has increased a lot due to severe continuous stormy rains. The floodwater has caused destruction by entering the village. Dozens of houses have been completely destroyed. Food and medicines are also in shortage due to spreading of water up to the farthest end of sight.
The standing crops on hundreds of acres have been inundated and the belongings of the people have also been away in the floodwater. The land connection of these villages has been totally cut off. Fears of stomach diseases have been expressed due to unclean drinking water.
People are lying in the open and are not getting any aid due to lack of land communication. In the other suburb areas of Rajanpur, the direction of floodwater adter striking Nawan Pul Nehar has been changed and water level in the canal has started to recede.
According to district administration, the city of Rajanpur is not under threat from any side. Food and water is being provided in the affected areas with the help of three helicopters and water level is also falling down but land connection has not resumed yet.
