In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Senior Kashmiri Hurriyet leader Syed Ali Gilani and all other Hurriyet leaders have decided to march towards Muzaffarabad on Monday (today) along with a large number of the people of Kashmir.
The decision was announced in a press conference by Syed Ali Gilani in Srinagar . Shabbir Ahmed Shah, Shaikh Abdul Aziz, Nayeem Ahmad Khan and Mian Abdul Qayyum were also present on the occasion. These leaders said that the prevalent situation of occupied Kashmir resulting from the economic and trade blockage by the Hindu fanatics had made it imperative that the Line of Control be made irrelevant and alternative roots for trade be explored.
Syed Ali Gilani said that the Kashmiri traders would ply their goods-laden trucks to Muzaffarabad on this day. He also appealed the people and administration of Azad Jammu and Kashmir that they should cross the LoC on the same day to express their solidarity with the people of occupied Kashmir. Syed Ali Gilani said that Kashmiris abroad would hold solidarity programmes. He urged Muhammad Yasin Malik, the chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front to end his fast and join the march on Monday.
The APHC Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq told KMS that the decision to cross the LoC was taken after consulting the leaders of all political, religious, commercial and legal organisations of Jammu and Kashmir.
