Balochistan Governor Nawab Zulfikar Ali Magsi on Thursday announced that he intends to resign, saying he is unable to control the current situation in the province. While talking to the media here, the Governor said there were many good people in the province that could control the province's situation.
Earlier, the Governor conferred Presidential Police Medals and Quaid-e-Azam Police Medals to 18 dead and serving police officials for their performance. Those who received the awards include Javaid Iqbal, Shabir Ahmed, Abdul Jabbar, Manzoor Ahmed, Abdul Razaq, Asghar Ali, Muhammad Afzal, Khalid Gurmakani, Abdul Sattar, Dad-e-Khudda, Muhammad Hassan, Abdul Aziz, Saeed Khan, Hazoor Bakhsh, Muhammad Hanif, Qadir Bakhsh and Muhammad Ayub. Magsi started Independence Day celebrations by hoisting the national flag above the lawns of Governor House to mark the nations 61st Independence Day.
