Provincial Minister for Food, Malik Nadeem Kamran has said that present government is taking practical steps to promote and upgrade technical education and vocational training centres so that youth can earn for their family besides playing their vital role in the progress and development of the country.
He said this, while distributing cheques of Rs 9 lakhs among 189 students of Vocational Training Institute being run by the Kakke Zai Welfare Association at Rs 5000 each who have completed their training in beautician, computer operating and dress making.On this occasion, President of District Board of Management Kakke Zai Welfare Association Pakistan, Brigadier Inam-ul-Haq and other office bearers were present. The minister said that present regime is specially focusing on formal and technical education. Technical training centres can help the government to reduce un-employment from the country, he added.
The Principal of the Institute, Saima told the minister that no fee is charged from the students and Rs 500 per month is given to every student as stipend. She further told that Rs 5000 are also given to every student after completing the training so that they could purchase necessary tools for starting their practical business. She informed that for this purpose well to do people bears all such expenses.
Malik Nadeem Kamran appreciated the valuable contribution and gesture of the donors engaged in providing educational facilities to the less-privileged people. He announced Rs 20,000 as donation from his own pocket to the institution.
