The Lahore High Court (LHC) here on Wednesday suspended the proceedings of no confidence motion against Naib Nazim UC-265, Partab Nagar, Faisalabad. The judge also issued notices to the respondents for September 09 and called for report from election commission.
While, petitioner Abdul Majeed, the naib nazim, submitted that two general councillors of the UC at the behest of Nazim moved no-confidence motion against him. He said the nazim without fulfilling the legal implications forwarded the motion to election commission. Petitioner prayed to the court to declare the proceedings of no confidence motion against him as void, illegal and unwarranted.
